Nestling some 10 mins from the beach, Hout Bay View is ideally situated to take full advantage of all points of interest both locally and throughout the Cape Peninsula, providing ample opportunities for the most adventurous and a host of gentle pastimes for the weary traveller.

A 20 min drive will place you in the heart of Cape Town where its varied collection of world renowned restaurants and bars await your pleasure. More adventurous guests can seek out the numerous mountain trails and walks taking in the breathtaking scenery Hout Bay is so famous for. Take a kayak out into the harbour and take in the view of our beautiful mountain ranges. Deep sea fishing and jetskis are also available. Take time out to pamper yourselves at many day spas or loose yourself staring out to sea whilst slowly reading the day away at any of our beautiful local beaches. A 20 min drive in the other direction will take you to Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens, a must do if you have green fingers.

A drive around Chapmans Peak is not for the faint hearted but well worth the trip and who knows, you may even see the Southern Right Whales that holiday in Hout Bay every year! Further a field the penguin colony at Boulders beach and the Ostrich farms are well worth a visit and of course the jewel in the crown, the Garden Route for the most spectacular wine fest anywhere in the world.

Directions to Hout Bay View from Cape Town International Airport
From the airport you take the N2 direction Cape Town. On the N2 take the exit to the M3 direction Rondebosch / Claremont. On the M3 go right (at first traffic lights) onto the M63 direction Hout Bay and Kirstenbosch botanical gardens. Stay on the M63 into Hout Bay. In Hout Bay you turn right on the 2nd roundabout (Princess Street). At the junction with Victoria Road you go left towards the harbour. Take the 2nd turning right into Northshore. At the stop, turn right. This is Pondicherry Avenue. Hout Bay View is situated on your left hand side at number 19.

Directions from central Cape Town to Hout Bay View
From Cape Town head towards Camps Bay. In Camps Bay follow direction Llandudno / Hout Bay on the M6 (this is the coastal road). Stay on the M6 into Hout Bay. At the traffic lights go straight on (direction Harbour). After the mini roundabout you carry on towards the harbour, and turn right into Northshore - just before the harbour. At the stop, turn right. This is Pondicherry Avenue. Hout Bay View is situated on your left hand side at number 19.
